Shanghai: More Egyptian citrus set to arrive

This season, many Chinese importers travelled down to Egypt, Israel and Spain to secure some of the new citrus export crop.

Mengxiang Fresh Export is preparing new shipments of Egyptian oranges for the Chinese market. Kelly Yao has taken some impressive photos from the local packhouse in Eygpt.

"Egypt started the season with shipments of navel oranges last year in November. The season lasts until June and closes with Valencia oranges," explains Kelly.

The quality of Egyptian citrus exports increases year on year and prices are generally lower compared to Spanish citrus.
