Jordan & Turkey talk about cooperation on agriculture

Last Saturday, Jordanian Minister of Agriculture Khalid Hunifat and Turkish Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Ahmet Esref Fakibaba, discussed Turkey’s participation in the Jordanian Agricultural Forum, to be held in Jordan on April 25th.

In a meeting held in the Turkish city of Izmir on the side-lines of the Turkish Agricultural Forum, Hunifat also discussed prospects for inviting Turkish businessmen to invest in agricultural processing in Jordan, petra.gov reported.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on sending a Turkish businessmen delegation to Amman, accompanied by Jordan's Honorary Consul in Izmir Omar Qablan and President of the Turkish-Arab Countries Business Association, Sabuhi Attar, to discuss practical steps in the agriculture investment as well as marketing Jordanian vegetables and fruits.
