China: First overseas export of Miyi Loquats from Panzhihua

The Panzhihua Office of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine recently stated that one ton of Miyi Loquats smoothly passed through customs on its way to Canada. This achievement established Miyi Loquats as a brand, and marked the first export of Loquats from western Panzhihua. The national Office of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine announced in November that Miyi Loquats were officially ratified as a protected, regional brand. Miyi county has already established three demonstration plantations for loquats. The total surface area reaches 1,667 hectares and the average annual output is 12,500 tons, with a worth of 216 million yuan [33.27 million USD].
