A kiwi with an aftertaste reminiscent of tropical fruit, very different from the traditional green and yellow fruits: in mid-November, Jingold presented the Oriental Red red kiwi variety in Shanghai, which was then introduced at Fico Eataly World.
Jingold director Alessandro Fornari reported that "we are very proud of this product especially since, for the first time, the packaging conveys high-quality and innovation and helps consumers choose their preferred flavour. We truly believe in the work we have carried out in the past few years, which means we now have 3 high-quality varieties guaranteed by a single brand. We are on the right path, but our work has just started and we will soon introduce new products."
This fruit is destined to radically change the scenario. Cultivated by Jingold producers, it will be appreciated by consumers thanks to its unique organoleptic characteristics, which are extremely different from those of traditional Hayward kiwis. The high sweetness level, combined with the tropical aftertaste, make this red kiwi ideal to meet the needs of new generations.

"It's a different product truly reminiscent of exotic fruit. It's a great opportunity with a new flavour and taste," explains President Patrizio Neri.
In addition, this fruit has good grades and excellent shelf-life. The feedback has been positive so far: the sweetness and slightly exotic flavour are much appreciated by the consumers who took part in tasting sessions and promotions at Fico before Christmas.
Jingold also presented a new type of packaging called 3 kiwi mix. It contains three types of kiwis (yellow, red and green) so consumers can try them all.
