Supply crisis in Indian onions is an opportunity for Chinese exports

Onions from the Indian Ocean are currently in crisis, due to bad weather and outdated production techniques. The supply of Indian onions is unable to meet the demand, partly because plantation areas have been reduced, but demand on the local market and overseas markets remains high. Based on the data of exporters, onion exports have dropped by 30% in comparison to last year. This has brought about more exporting opportunities for Chinese exporters.
