China: Quality of Pinghe pomelo is stable

“Compared to last year, the volume of pomelos from the Pinghe region has increased by 20%-30% this year. This was mainly caused by the increased production, good weather condition and moderate rainfall,” a spokesperson from the Zhangzhou Dynson Commercial Trade Co. said.

 

“Established in 2008, and located in Zhangzhou city, which is the well-known for its fruits and vegetables, Zhangzhou Dynson specializes in producing and exporting citrus fruits such as Honey pomelo, mandarin and various kinds of vegetables for world markets. ”

“Our own pomelo orchard covers 150 hectares, the main plant variety is the Honey Pomelo, and our annual yield is around 5000 tons. Our products are mainly exported to Europe and Russia. Customers think highly of our products and we endeavor to update quality and reduce costs consistently.”

“The export season runs from August to February the following year. It is expected that the export volume this year would be slightly increased compared with last year, which is driven by strong demand on both national and international markets. The export price at the beginning of this season is stable compared with the same period last year. However, it will drop at a later stage when more pomelo is available.”
