China: Honey peaches from Mengyin to be exported to the USA in October

"Manager Li, I have not got enough of last year's peaches, so here I am again!", says the purchaser Wang Linbo from Shenzhen. He brought his business to the Longshan agricultural industry site in Yishui and he is prepared to discuss the business of peaches for this year with the management at the industrial park.

This year 6 boxes of late maturing peaches from Longshan are sold 25.5 EUR (198 RMB) a piece, which equals 4.2 EUR for a single peach (33 RMB). This price is a lot higher than the market price, but peaches are hard to come by. Currently the industrial park has already signed orders with clients in Guangdong, Hainan and Shenzhen. "We do not have to worry about marketing at all now, we only need to concentrate on growing good peaches and do not need to consider the sales of our peaches!", says manager Li proudly.

The Longshan agricultural industry site is located in the beautiful scenery between the Yi river and the Meng mountain line. In this environment which is rich in resources, strict standards for organic produce safeguard the approval of peaches going to China, the EU and the USA. This industrial park strictly manages standards for organic produce and has constructed an organic fertilizing plant and workshops for nourishment. They grow soybeans and do independent research on organic fertilizers. They have built 6 dikes and completed an irrigation system with sprayers. They have set up 200 insecticide lights working on solar energy, have established their own weather station, and have also installed 60 high definition spherical camera recorders to capture the process from blossoming to harvest.

Buyers can trace back the entire production process of the peaches by simply scanning the QR code on each peach. Furthermore, they have founded a center for detection and experiments to independently examine soil, raw materials, biological products and finished peaches. They strictly ensure consistency in their operations. Materials that do not meet the standards for organic produce simply do not enter the industrial park. Organic products that do not meet standards won't leave the park either. In this way they have realized a safe upstream with 100% safety, 100% organic fertilizers and 100% fresh grass for the orchards.

In June last year the organic peaches from Longshan obtained the authentication certificate stating that they were organic. In June this year, these same peaches obtained the same recognition by the European Union. In the past few days, "the white peach" will successfully obtain permission to be sent to the USA. Reports show that all the necessary paperwork has been completed at this point, and that the late maturing peaches will reach the EU and the USA sometime during October.
