Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

Value-added corn shipper launches sixth annual donation

For the sixth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms and partner Five Crowns Marketing are saluting the American Armed Forces with their annual “Support our Troops” campaign. During the month of August, GloriAnn Farms will make a donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund – a non-profit organization providing support and assistance to military personnel and their families – for every case of sweet corn sold to participating retailers. Over the past five years, GloriAnn Farms was able to donate almost $90,000 in total contributions, and they hope to exceed the $100,000 mark this year.

For the month of August, GloriAnn and Majesty tray pack corn will feature a special, eye-catching promotional sticker. Participating retailers may also request attention-grabbing posters, which communicate to the consumer information about the fund and the partnership. “Last year alone we were able to donate over $18,500 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund,” says Daren Van Dyke, Director of Sales and Marketing for Five Crowns Marketing, “and we hope to set a new record in 2017. The response from our retail customers has been so positive every year, and the display materials really help to increase awareness of the campaign for consumers at the retail level.”

“We are so happy to be promoting the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund for the sixth consecutive year,” adds Mark Bacchetti, a principal and President of GloriAnn Farms. “We truly feel we’re simply doing our part to try to repay even some of the debt we as Americans owe these heroes for the sacrifices they have made in service to our nation. The ‘Support our Troops’ campaign is one of the most important things we do each year.”
