According to the latest data provided by market intelligence service ProduceView, many of the UK supermarkets are offering locally grown greenhouse produce.
If you are looking for British cucumbers, red bell peppers and baby plum tomatoes, you can eat your heart out at retailers Morrisons and M&S, since they are offering strictly British products this week.
But British cucumbers are well represented across the board this week. Aside from Morrisons and M&S, you can also find them at Sainsbury, Asda, the Co-op and Aldi. Lidl, Waitrose and Tesco offer Dutch cucumbers.
British bell peppers can furthermore be found at Tesco and Sainsbury. Lidl, Aldi, Co-op and Asda are offering Dutch peppers. Morrisons and M&S were offering British peppers.
Morocco is the third supplier of baby plum tomatoes in the UK retail this week, with a presence at Tesco, Sainsbury, Co-op and Aldi. Lidl is offering Spanish baby plums, Asda offers them from Holland and Morrisons, M&S and Waitrose offer British baby plum tomatoes.
