Xiamen fruit imports come mainly from Taiwan

In the first quarter of 2017, the Xiamen harbour handled 1,000 batches of imported fruit, for a total of 16,700 tons or 23.7 million USD. The fruits show a large variety. The main imports were pineapples, custard apples, dragon fruit and bananas, most of which came from Taiwan and Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Ecuador and other countries. Taiwan is unarguably the largest exporter, as 80% of the total value of fruit imports to Xiamen comes from Taiwan.
