‘Die Maus’ Landgard’s latest concept

Fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts – all of these agricultural products can end up in German supermarkets in packaging featuring Die Maus. Grower’s cooperative Landgard has developed various product ideas for this. The subject ‘sustainability’ is central in the cooperation between Landgard and WDR Mediagroup (which holds the global rights of the beloved TV character). The sector can use the Die Maus products to encourage children and adults to consume healthy and high-quality food with an individual product series.

Julia Wurzer, team leader brands for the WDR Mediagroup: “Die Maus offers new impulses to trade at the point of sale in which sustainability is at the foreground. The well-known licence brand appeals to both children and adults. Products featuring Die Maus will always have something new to discover and they educate in a playful manner. All generations can enjoy that.” The packaging featuring Die Maus explains complicated matters in an entertaining and understandable manner.

Die Maus is a strong and beloved licence brand: more than 300 successful licence products from the most varying product categories are already available. The orange cartoon figure is the start of TV show Sendung mit der Maus, in which she transfers knowledge in an entertaining manner to an audience consisting of both young and old viewers. With about two million viewers per week in total, and more than 100 national and international prices, the high-quality TV format is more successful than any other on German television.
