China: Fruit & veg packaging to improve traceability

This reduces the rate at which the fruits and vegetables rot and extends the shelf life. In addition, the labels on the bag aid traceability. "The texture of the mesh in our net bags is divided in two categories: crude and smooth. The crude ones are suitable for onions, potatoes and citrus, the smooth ones are used for grapes and other fruits or vegetables. The first group produces exports for the United States of America, Europe and Italy. They weave net bags which are suitable for onions. The other group produces exports for Russia and other European countries. They weave net bags that can be used for potatoes."

The most obvious difference is that foreign firms pay attention to the environmental friendliness of the materials they use, but in China they emphasize the diversity of appearances and the costs of our materials more."
