Polish apples in high demand
China: Cold-chain distribution lacks geographic balance
Currently, the cold chain logistics system in the second tier cities in North China is not yet mature. Distribution is still dispersed and incomplete, and there is lack of systematic management by central institutions. The government tends to invest in the cold chain logistics industry in China's first-tier cities." Mr. Fei Han said, from Jin Long Fruit industry Co.,LTD. Mr. Han runs a wholesale market in Shen Yang, a city in Liaoning in Northern China.
"Compared to first tier cities in China, development of the cold chain system in the second tier cities in North China is lagging behind. Part of warehouses and distribution lines are not connected to national lines and are vacant and are not fully utilised. Personally speaking, China should learn from foreign cold-chain technology and development strategy. So far the relevant supporting services lack domestic support. Our main companies are Akesu apple from XinJiang, Elizabeth melons from Hebei, Burmese melons and Chinese fragrant pears.
"Currently, we are actively looking to import Polish suppliers, to distribute in Northern China. We look forward to bringing these items into the Northern market together with our future partners."
