Collaboration between Sotracom and Fresh Express at Belgian airports

As of the start of September, the logistic service suppliers, Fresh Express and Sotracom Air Transit, have decided to enter into close collaboration at the Belgian airports. Soctracom wasn't previously located in Belgium but, as of a week and a half ago, they are effectively operational at Brussels airport. David Matthys-Donnadieu says; "For Sotracom this step means an expansion in our network and an even wider supply for our European customers. They asked us about opportunities in Belgium. Besides our presence at the airports CDG, FRA, MAD & AMS we can now also use Brussels (BRU) and Luik (LGG) as import gateways. We offer the services of Sotracom and Fresh Express here. We and our customer are very happy with this new collaboration."

Two Belgian airports
Tom Gemels: "For Fresh Express this collaboration offers the opportunity to develop further alongside a growing player on the European market for perishables. We are located in Luik. For both airports in Belgium, as well as the airlines that fly there, this is a positive announcement, as the volumes at both airports will receive a boost. There is clear growth in airfreight, so we certainly see the future positively." Fresh Express is a young company and a logistical service supplier for airfreight perishables.

Sotracom: over 1 million tonnes of goods
Soctracom transports over 1 million tonnes of goods across the world every year. The company was founded in 1991 and is specialised in the import of perishables. "We are number one in the area of perishables in various European countries. Now the product supply we carry has been expanded and we also supply various other goods," according to David Matthys-Donnadieu.
