Innovative Vegetable Orchestra in Austria

An orchestra in Austria uses intruments made entirely from fresh vegetables. They are carved just before the performance and, after the show, they are cooked into a vegetable soup which is then shared with the audience.

The Vegetable Orchestra, which was established 18 years ago, has become a local tradition. They purchase vegetables from the markets just before the show and anything - pumpkins, carrots, paprika, aubergines - all can become source materials for these zany instruments.
