"Since the sales operation bases in Taiwan are continuously increasing and consumers are ever more aware of the importance of healthy food and drinks, our products are also more and more welcome on the market. Compared to last year, our sales figures have increased by 40%. The market prices are relatively stable," says Mr. Zhao Taizhang of Tingmao Agriculture Biotechnics.

Advancing in mainland China and Hong Kong
"Among our many green products, lettuce is still our main crop. In order to reflect the special feature of ruling out pesticides, we created the 'Nice Green wo bu tian' brand in early 2016. At the same time, we do research every month on new products. Based on the data from that research, we improve our products strategically so that they can integrate most effectively with the market."
"In the past few years more and more competitors have entered the market, but the bulk of those companies only offer single services, like selling cultivation installations. In Taiwan, we are still the only company that can offer the whole integrated chain, a complete and operational enterprise. While we have the lead in the Taiwanese industry, we are also actively developing other markets. At this stage, we not only export fresh produce to the supermarkets of Shanghai and Hong Kong, but also other products. The trade is still small, but we are optimistic about the potential for the development of these markets, especially those of mainland China."
Expanding the sales net
"From the rising sales we can see how much importance people give to high quality products that are free from pesticides or heavy metals. Currently we have a supply agreement with more than 20 well-known shopping centres, but this is far from being enough to meet the market demand. To allow more Taiwanese people to buy our organic products, we are now making agreements all over Taiwan with retailers who share our ideals. This way we can collectively develop the trade further."
