Chinese delegation in Peru to conclude pest risk analysis

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), arrived in Peru to conclude the pest risk analysis in the export areas of blueberries and other products.

During their stay in the capital, AQSIQ will meet with Senasa personnel to address two issues: firstly to inspect the phytosanitary conditions in blueberry cultivation, as well as in the post-harvest and transportation processes.

And secondly to verify that a reliable phytosanitary certification system is being implemented by Senasa for these products.

The Chinese delegation also expects to visit the main blueberry production areas, such as La Libertad (Chao and Viru) and Ica (Pisco and Chincha).

Following a successful visit of President Kuczynski to China, Peruvian blueberries will be able to enter that country from November.
