Reservations surpass levels of previous event
Fruit Logistica 2017 increases exports
European agricultural policies are facing a paradigm shift when it comes to the promotion of fruit and vegetables. Until now 70% of the finances were used for the internal European market, while 30% were used for countries outside of the EU. In the near future this situation will be reversed. “The future possibilities for this sector clearly lie in exports,” states Miguel Ceballos Barón the European Trade Commissioner. Export promotion should help us to conquer emerging markets, such as Asia, India and Africa.
“Fruit Logistica is a central hub in all sorts of global trade activities and therefore a must for everybody who wants to increase their exports,” said Wilfried Wollbold, Global Brand Manager of Fruit Logistica. In February 2016 the world's leading fair for the fruit trade attracted more than 70,000 visitors and buyers from more than 130 countries from all the world's continents. Judging by the number of reservations already made for 2017 (8-10 February 2017), he expects that, “The demand for exhibition space during the upcoming Fruit Logistica will once again surpass, the already high, demand of the previous year.
The exhibitors and visitors can look forward to three days of commercially relevant trade activities at the Fruit Logistica Fair.
