First 'fruit and vegetable train' to Moscow

According to a report from the Russian 'Weixing net' on August 25, China's South-Eastern provinces have started to use railways to supply Russia with fruit and vegetables. It is reported that the railway department sends this fruit and vegetable train four times a week with 8 cases, each 40 feet long. The transport season is limited to 12 days.

These special trains not only have the advantage of a large transport capacity at a low price, but they also meet all the requirements of customers. Having adopted the method of peer to peer transport, they avoid the time consuming process of disassembling and reassembling at marshalling yards. At the same time the transportation speed also exceeds that of former cargo trains. This has brought about a significant increase in transport efficiency.
