It is known that the apple export business in Long county has increased year on year since 2014, and its revenue reached 44 million Yuan in 2015. In comparison, 43 million export revenue has been reached within 6 months in 2016, which ranks Long county as No.1 in Shaanxi province in terms of export revenue.
Located to the west of Weibei rain-fed highland, Long county is the quality apple plantation based in Shaanxi province. Currently it has an apple plantation area of 4,800 hectares, 3,666 hectares of which already bears fruits.
Mr. Ma Peijun, the general manager from Long County Shengyuan Fruits Co. Ltd, explained that apples from their region are exempt from inspection in Ruili Port (Yunnan province), and they now have a solid market share in South East markets. They plan to expand their export markets this year to Russia and UAE etc, with an annual target revenue of 60 million Yuan.
