Manter International Ltd, manufacturer of weighing and packing machines, recently supplied and installed its first MD20 D 20-scale weigher in Spain. The weigher is capable of doing up to 100 beats per minute, small packing, and can accurately weigh and discharge. Manter already supplied a number of these weighers to the US, and has now supplied its first weigher to Europe as well.
It is no mean feat to achieve constant accuracy when doing 100 packings per minute. For that, you would need a weigher that has many weight scales at its disposal, and even more so when packing, for example, potatoes, onions and citrus in small packagings. The MD20 D is therefore the largest linear combination weigher with the most weight scales in the Produce Industry. Fast and reliable to boot.
The market is full of slow packers with low-speed weighers. Customers are asking for more capacity on less floor area. This creates room for further automation after the packers. They have now chosen the Manter MD20 D in Spain.
The MD20 D gives the opportunity of connecting up to four packers in total. The strength of the weigher lies in its combination of weigher and discharger. This makes it possible to reach up to 100 packings per minute with four scales, and capacity decreases in proportion when the packer is switched off. Because of its unique design and special software, the packers continue to be optimally utilised.
Manter supplies the MD20 D weighers with a modern, 15-inch colour touch screen. Furthermore, the weigher is equipped with proven and high-tech software developed by the engineers of Manter. It is possible to have the MD20 D supplied with Manter Machine Gateway (MMG), allowing the weigher to be monitored from a distance, for an additional cost. When using the upgrade MMG-Analytics it is possible to take management data from the weigher or to make data available for the purpose of an ERP system.
