American company wants to settle in Mexico

The Sweet Seasons LLC exporting company seeks to establish itself in the state of Quintana Roo, mainly in the central and southern area, stated Alvaro Diaz Andrade, representative of the company.

According to Diaz Andrade, the company is currently in talks with local authorities and different producers in the field to improve agricultural practices to ensure the quality of exportable products.

The company could export habanero peppers, pineapples, and watermelons cultivated in the municipalities of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Jose Maria Morelos, Bacalar, and Othon P. Blanco to the United States.

It's worth noting that all of the producing areas must have a phytosanitary card and be properly recorded to have traceability in order to be able to export their products.

"These are the first tools that producers require to export. They need to implement the government's recommendations to export," he said.

Traceability allows having control of the information throughout the entire chain of production, and ensuring that the products exported have a good quality, are safe and reliable.
