Lychee price doubled in Zhuhai

Half a month ago, Lychee started to come to the market in Zhuhai city, a majority of which originate from Gaozhou city in Guangdong province and Haikou city in Hainan province. Next to this, some lychees from Thailand can be seen on the market as well.
Speaking of Doumen lychee, their harvest season has just arrived and some are not yet mature. It is estimated that the listing season will not come until the end of June.

In terms of price position, the Feizixiao breed is sold at 16-24 Yuan/kilo, while Guiwei at 40-50 Yuan/kilo. The most expensive lychee breed has to be Lizhiwang, which can be sold at over 60 Yuan/kilo. It is fair to say that the prices of all these lychee breeds doubled, this is because Guangdong province, the main lychee growing region, has been suffering due to the rainy season, which makes it very difficult for lychees to mature. Thus the limited lychee volume in the market, as a consequence, led to the price rise.
