Why Polish mushrooms score better in Germany than the Dutch
Did you know that Polish mushrooms generally score better than Dutch mushrooms among German buyers? LTO Vakgroep Paddestoelen intends to work intensively and collectively on a structural approach to the sales opportunities and work on a healthy sector in the long term.
A German consumer prefers to eat German products. However less mushrooms are eaten in Germany than are produced there. The German buyer therefore buys products from other countries such as Poland or the Netherlands.
Rating Polish mushrooms generally score better among the German buyers than the Dutch mushrooms. When asked they gave Polish mushrooms a better rating on:
Price/quality ratio
Very high quality/control
Good quality available all year round
Better complaint handling
LTO Vakgroep Paddenstoelen wants to change this perception. For this reason a communication approach was thought up targeted at the German buyer. This approach was started in week 15. The goal is to seduce them into buying more Dutch mushrooms
