Early ripening varieties from Brittany a bit late

Market closes due to a very low offer, caused by the use of the fields, low stocks or speculation. Industrial demand is present, both continental like English and more specific like Bintje. Last week sales were high, and best quality Markies and Fontane products could even reach € 25.00 per qt for England or Spain. At the end of season fresh markets have small stocks left, available for constant demand from Portugal, Spain and Hungary. Fixed prices are even higher, between 28.00 and 35.00 € per qt in big bags, according to quality and variety. Cultivation is almost over by now; in the middle of last week cultivated areas reached 80–90% in all the regions.

Early ripening varieties from Brittany : the early varieties from Brittany are a bit late, but the first ones are available at 180 €/qt.
