Nominations are open for the 2016 Awards for Excellence and this year Apple and Pear Australia Limited (APAL) are featuring six categories.
The Awards for Excellence recognise the outstanding achievements of the industry’s most successful growers, researchers, people and businesses working across all areas of the supply chain – from production and processing through to marketing and export.
The awards will be presented on Saturday, 25 June at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast as part of the 2016 National Horticulture Convention Gala Dinner.
Anyone can submit a nomination and all nominees will be assessed by the APAL Board. Awards will only be granted if outstanding candidates are identified. Nominees must meet one or more of the criteria for their chosen award as shown here. This year APAL are seeking nominations for the following awards:
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- The Grower of the Year
- The Rising Star Award
- Innovative Marketing Award
- Exporter of the Year
- Women in Horticulture Award
- Researcher of the Year Award
