Exchange of international market experience

German wholesalers to explore London's markets

This week the GFI (Community to promote the interests of the German fresh produce markets) along with 30 wholesale and weekly market managers will go on a 3-day study trip to London. Every year, a study trip will take place in a different European market metropolis in cooperation with the WUWM (World Union of Wholesale Markets).

"The aim of our study visit is to look at trends and success factors of markets. We seek an exchange of knowledge with our English colleagues on how to deal with the current challenges. Our experience in the context of our international network will help," says Frank Willhausen, consultant for GFI. "London is ideally suited for this, the ideal location with great regional and international oriented 'Street markets` with a large and unique assortment. We are looking forward to this opportunity."

The study tour includes presentations by wholesale market managers as well as numerous visits to various markets London. One of the most famous markets is the 'Borough Market`. The study trip to London will take place from Wednesday 27 April 2016 until Friday April 29.
