China: 223 cold chain logistic parks for vegetable launched

In recent years, Luliang County has vigorously developed the vegetable industry thanks to its unique advantage of transportation and suitable climate within its geographical plateau.

So far 550 million Yuan has been invested in this county to build its first class vegetable cold chain logistics gardens; this is also by far the biggest logistic garden within its province. It will serve as an important vegetable distribution center for the Southern region.

Currently, the logistics park has built a total of 223 cold chain logistic parks for vegetable storage, with a net volume of 412,000 cubic meters. By 2015, the first batch of 57 cold storage operations has acquired a total of nearly 500,000 tons of vegetables, achieving sales of 2.4 billion Yuan.
