Kohrispy – Kohlrabi-Sticks, a convenience product
"The visitors of our stand tried Kohrispy kohlrabi sticks of the tasty Konan variety. It was really inspiring to see all the positive reactions of all those people who tasted this refreshing vegetable. Kohlrabi is not a new vegetable, but it isn’t a commonly known vegetable, especially raw and fresh,” says Robert Schilder, sales manager Benelux & Scandinavia. The kohlrabi started a refreshing dialogue with growers, wholesalers and retailers about the possibilities of kohlrabi and Bejo’s varieties Konan, Kossak and Kolibri.
Coolwrap, completely introduced in the market
Coolwrap was the other innovative concept at display. The Coolwrap concept is accompanied by a booklet with recipes and a QR-code to an instruction video about the variety of ways to use Coolwrap. The international visitors showed a lot of interest in the concept. Coolwrap is already available in several supermarkets in the Netherlands and finds its way to other countries like Denmark and Sweden.
Beginning with organic: there isn't a better start!
Fruit Logistica is a platform for Bejo to meet partners within the supply chain, aiming to inspire them with products, processing and innovations. Cool carrot candy (snack carrots in several different colors) and the newest organic products were received with great interest. The organic breakfast on Friday was a good “Beginning with organic,” while Bram Weijland, coordinator of organic affairs, started a dialogue about the importance of using organic seed. A good and healthy start to the day!
