"Campaign "Fraises d'Europe: La vie en rouge"
European strawberries seek to boost consumption in France
The European campaign "Fraises d'Europe: La vie en rouge" has kicked off in France with an official presentation to the media. The purpose of the campaign is to promote the consumption of European strawberries amongst French consumers, stressing the quality, sustainability and traceability of the strawberries grown in the Old Continent, which meet the highest quality standards.
France is one of the key countries for this crop; in fact, it is the second largest market for Spanish strawberries, behind Germany. Just last year France bought 53,100 tonnes of this product from Spain, while its own production in the latest campaign increased to 53,000 tonnes.
