In February 2016, Avocados from Mexico will be prominently featured in 110 Longos and Sobeys stores, all over Ontario.
January 29 will mark the beginning of Avocado Month: bins branded with Avocados from Mexico colors will be set up at supermarket entrances, and a whole range of exclusive, easy-to-make recipes will be featured every week in Longos and Sobeys promotional flyers.
Consumers will also be able to discover all the nutritional benefits of avocados from Mexico during weekend in-store tastings, thanks to a special Super Bowl edition featuring an Avocado Beef Sliders recipe. A booklet of recipes using avocados from Mexico will also be handed out to consumers during the whole month of February, including practical tips like “how to ripen an avocado” or “how to cut an avocado”.
