Europe: The new Dori' Europe consortium

Consorzio Dori' Europe was created by Granfrutta Zani, Kiwi Uno and F.lli Clementi and also works with Summerkiwi France (which also includes Prim'Land and the Sapa Rouquette group) and Summerfruit, which owns the AC1536 golden kiwi variety (DORI'™).

The cooperation between the companies led to the establishment of a single entity at a European level that can count on an entirely Italian production chain but that can also include companies from many producer countries such as for example Spain.

The objective is to promote the AC1536 variety under the DORI'™ brand. The variety was created by the Università di Udine and developed at the Università di Bologna under the supervision of professor Guglielmo Costa.

The cultivar has an intense golden colour, a new and surprising flavour and is very early, as it usually ripens one month earlier than the main varieties.

Various panel tests were carried out in 2015 and all had extremely positive outcomes, test sales also went well. In 2016, 100 more hectares will be planted in Italy alone.

Everyone is invited at Fruit Logistica 2016 (3-5 February 2016) to taste the fruit at the Granfrutta Zani (Hall 2.2 - Stand A 04); Kiwi Uno Spa (Hall 2.2 - Stand B-02); F.lli Clementi (Hall 4.2 - Stand B-09) and Summerfruit (Hall 4.2 - Stand C-05) stands.
