China: low import price pitaya

Recently, the price of imported pitaya into China has decreased. As a result, sellers noticed that sales have gone up.

Starting from January 1 this year, the price of red pitaya from Vietnam suddenly rose a few times within one day, which made it become one of the fruits with the sharpest price increases. However, in the last recent period, the price dropped back to previous levels within a day.

Recently, the price of red pitaya from Vietnam at Pingxiang port fell by 47.3%. This price decline is mainly due to slow downstream market shipments and new products arriving. In addition, quality of the product was affected by the slow custom processes which resulted in even sharper price decreases.
