Honduran grower Monty Farms/Fresh Market, the largest exporter of sweet potatoes grown in Latin America, has signed an agreement with Louisiana State University, leader in the development of sweet potato varieties.
This agreement gives Monty Farms the exclusive right to distribute sweet potatoes grown in Central America and the Dominican Republic from the following seed varieties: Evangeline, Bellevue, Orleans, Bonita, and Murasaki.
Monty Farms exports sweet potatoes to the European markets year round.
