Agrocolor, the Almerian company specializing in agricultural certification has already chosen the manager that will replace Luis Miguel Fernandez, who held the position until he was appointed manager of Coexphal in early October. Juan Ignacio Perez Zamarron will be responsible for the management of Agrocolor. Perez Zamarron has worked with the company for the past 16 years, which has allowed him to access this new senior position in the company located in Almeria's capital.
Zamarron Pérez said they still had an arduous task ahead before the company became well known at the national level. That's why the company places a great importance on human resources. "Agrocolor's main value are its employees, the technicians who visit the farms on a daily basis to certify the producers comply with the European quality and production standards," they stated.
Currently, the company is focusing in the integrated production certification protocol, organic farming, protected designations of origin and wine appellations of origin, cherimoya from the tropical coast of Granada GIs and oil from the Montes de Granada. Additionally, the company conducts quality controls on its exports, seedlings, pesticides, testing protocols, and fruit and vegetable exports.
"Agrocolor currently has delegations in Almería, Granada, Seville, Huelva, Canarias, Extremadura and Valencia. In terms of products, it depends on the scope of the scheme that needs to be certified," they said.
