Hall 2.2. - Stand A-08

Fun-Burger to be presented in Berlin

At the 2016 edition of Fruit Logistica (Berlin, 3-5 February), OP Terre Agricole - partially owned by Fungorobica, leading company in the mushroom world for 50 years - will present its new brand Fun-Burger.

Fun-Burger is the tasty and balanced mushroom (mix of portobello, oyster and dried porcini) and seitan (wheat gluten) burger. It has a reduced calorie content (only 140 kcal per portion!) and is the perfect vegan substitute of a light and healthy meal.

As explained by marketing manager Ubaldo Colombo, "mushrooms are mistakenly considered vegetables that have a low nutrient content, but they do have their own properties that make them unique."

The Fun-Burger lines includes six different flavours - rosemary, curry, onion, paprika, porcini mushrooms and truffle. You can try the new flavours at the fair in Hall 2.2, Stand A-08.

From a nutritional point of view, cultivated mushrooms (like portobello) contained amino acids like lysine and tryptophan, which are essential for the correct functioning of our body and are a source of iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorous, copper, sulphur and selenium.

The "Filiera dei territori" brand
In Berlin, OP Terre Agricole will also present the new "Filiera dei territori" brand.

Thanks to the ISO 22005 certification, it is the first example of 'cru' of Italian mushrooms. The traceability of the mushrooms highlights the origin from different Italian regions.

All producers that are part of "Filiera dei territory" employ integrated production techniques and good agricultural practices in compliance with the GlobalGAP standard.

The process and control plans are defined in the CSQA-certified Specification. The quality of the mushrooms is checked for each and every packet.
