Direct export of Quzhou citrus to Malaysia

Last week, citrus cooperatives from Chiaijia, near the city of Quzhou, exported 100 tons of citrus to Malaysia. In the coming week, an additional 120 tons will be exported as well.

Citrus from Quzhou is popular in Southeast Asia. At the end of last year, the Kasen Group, one of Malysia's three major fruit importers, signed a deal to import 220 tons of citrus.

In addition, Chaijia cooperatives will export 700 tons to Indonesia in the end of January and 270 tons to Singapore. The cooperatives receive financial support from the local Kecheng District United Bank, which invested 600,000 Yuan to facilitate the first exports.
