Wholesale trader prices in September 2015

Price reductions everywhere, but not for fruit, veg and potatoes

The sales prices at wholesale traders were 1.8% lower in September 2015 than in September 2014. As the Statistische Bundesamt (Destatis) further reports, the yearly rate of change was at -1.1% in July and at -0.5%. Compared to the previous month, at wholesale level the products got cheaper with around 0.6%.

However, things look very different in the area of fruit, vegetables and potatoes. Compared to September 2014, there were price increases of + 11.3 %.
