Thanks to the growth in apple consumption and a -5% European production, VOG is more optimistic as regards the next few months. "The 2015/16 campaign started well - a third of the Royal Gala harvest has already been sold and prices are a lot better than 2014," explains director Gerhard Dichgans (photo below).
"Spain is one of the main foreign markets for our consortium, as 10% of our produce is sent there. We wish to maintain and maybe expand that share in the future by introducing new Club varieties and the organic BIOMarlene® brand alongside the Marlene® range."
VOG will take part to the 2015 edition of Fruit Attraction (Madrid, 28th-30th October 2015), hall 7, stand 7D08A. "We have been attending since the first edition - the fair grows every year and gives us the possibility to showcase our new products."

This year, it will be possible to discover the range of VOG apples available in Spain - from the Marlene varieties to the Bio Marlene range and down to Pink Lady, Kanzi, Jazz and the latest Envy variety, created by crossing Gala and Braeburn apples.
There will also be a party to celebrate the 20 years of the Marlene brand on October 29th in a location in the heart of Madrid.
"Our Spanish clients and the local press will take part. But will not only be toasting to what we have achieved so far - the new season is packed with new initiatives for both our clients and distributors."
