For the Staay Food Group from Barendrecht, a new company location has been realized in Papendrecht/Alblasserdam this year. The cooling installations that are placed at this end, have CO2 as a cooling agent. CO2 is a natural product, which means the impact on the environment is minimal, for now and in the future. All in all, a cooling capacity of 1,400 kW is installed. A CO2 installation of that size hasn't been seen much yet, and so it's an innovation for the sector.
For the compressors, multiple piston compressors are used per set, and the required capacity can thus be regulated accurately. A directly operational cooling system was chosen, for optimal energy efficiency of the installation. A computerized control is used, which can be controlled on location and remotely. This control can be expanded at any moment, every component is controlled individually, so that the division of the rooms is always flexible.
Because of the chosen cooling agent, the installation comes under the EIA regulation for 2015. This provides a significant fiscal subsidy for the purchase of the installation.
