7th Global Cool Logistics Managing Director, Alex von Stemple:

'Difficult times for logistics sector, with challenges left to face'

The morning session of the 7th Global Cool Logistics conference in Brugge got under way with a welcome from Alex von Stemple, Managing Director of Cool Logistics Resources. He spoke about how the logistics sector had come through a difficult period and still had challenges to face.



Thomas Eskesen, from Eskesen Advisory, looked at how the shipping industry had changed over the last decade and Joachim Coens, CEO of the Port of Zeebrugge, spoke about the role of ports in the distribution of perishables in the 21st century.



Paul Bosch, Food and Agriculture Supply Chain Analyst at the Rabobank looked at risks in the supply chain. Chyenne Wiskerke, Managing Director at Wiskerke Onions, told delegates how her company has adapted to successfully export onions to 90 countries throughout the world.
