Cocaine found in bananas at discounter

On Thursday 27 August 2015 a large police team was dispatched to a large supermarket in Essen Germany. The management team had called the police after coworkers found several suspicious green packages between the bananas. A technical analyst tested the drugs and the first signs pointed to a large discovery of cocaine. The boxes contained several hundred kilos, and were shipped to a well-known Discounter. The prosecutors in Essen have taken over the investigation.
