shipment destined for Delhaize

30 tonnes of Spanish melons on Brussels Ring

At the exit from the Brussels inner ring to Zellik, a truck went off the road early yesterday morning. The transport was loaded with nearly 30 tonnes of Spanish melons, destined for the Delhaize distribution centre in Zellik. The accident happened just before 3 AM. The driver and his passenger were trapped after the heavy crash, and had to be freed by firemen. In the end, their injuries appear not to be too severe.
