Banana-a-peel

AU: $36,000 raised for Royal Children’s Hospital

L&R Collins were honoured to present a $36,000 cheque to The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation (RCH) on June 18th at The Australian Banana Industry Congress 2015 at Crown Promenade Melbourne.

The funds were raised as part of the Banana-a-peel hosted by Oakville Produce on Tuesday June 16th, 2015 when the first official shipment of bananas arrived from the new L&R Collins farm in Lakeland, QLD.

Cartons of bananas were sold for $1,000 each with every dollar donated to the RCH. Director Len Collins said “We were ecstatic to be able to raise $36,000 for the RCH and would like to sincerely thank all individuals and businesses that supported the Banana-a-peel”.
