Raytec Vision presented its new products at BTA
Raytec technicians have improved this machine a lot - the six-colour vision provides a more precise identification of products and contaminants. This way, the plant can differentiate between unusable products (green tomatoes and foreign bodies) and second quality tomatoes (yellow or orange tomatoes) destined to the production of by-products.
The innovative Vine-Eliminator system prevents grass, leaves and tomato skins from entering the inspection area so that it stays clean during the entire season between July and late September. The Fototrainer software communicates with the user through a modern touch-screen monitor and enables the saving of hundreds of photos of products and defects to create a useful database for quality control purposes. Programming the selection is very easy and is based on various thresholds concerning the type of defect and its size.
Technical studies have enabled the company to improve the reliability and resistance of two essential mechanical components - the cleaning system of the inspection area and finger ejection systems. The former is so reliable that is does not need maintenance over the entire campaign. New plastic and studies on the movement of the ejectors have made the system more sturdy and extended its lifespan.
A high number of guests visited Raytec Vision's stand at BTA and showed great interest for the new Raynbow and the other sorters and inspectors. After the drop on the Spanish market in 2012-2013 due to the financial crisis, the company's position on this market as strengthened also thanks to the collaboration with Procesos Cano.
