These prices are monitored at eight supermarkets in the UK, namely: Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, M&S, Lidl, Aldi, and Co-op. This week, the first British red peppers are available at Tesco and Sainsbury's.

The red pepper retail prices remained fairly stable at the retailers over the last 15 weeks. This week, the retail price of a red pepper lies between £0.49 (Lidl) and £0.90 (Co-op) a piece and the average price is £0.64 a piece.

In general, the red peppers are supplied from Israel and Spain. This week, however, Tesco and Sainsbury's supply their first British red peppers in 15 weeks.
