German-Italian trade fair Cooperation to become closer

After Anuga FoodTec 2015 in Cologne, Gerald Böse (CEO Koelnmesse) and Antonio Cellie (CEO Fiere di Parma) announced the signing of a strategic agreement in which the framework for a cooperation between the two exhibition companies is settled for the CibusTec.

Koelnmesse and Fiere di Parma already agreed on a closer cooperation in the marketing of their food and beverage events nationally and internationally in May 2012, the cooperation will be further intensified. Both are focusing their power in the field of nutrition and food-technology. “We want to work together and generate more international attention and assertiveness for our events, our customers, exhibitors and visitors of our fairs. We want to lead them to new target markets and to support them there”, Koelnmesse CEO Gerald Böse announces. “This collaboration is unique in the sector of food fairs.”

The close cooperation between the two partners aims at sustainable exhibition projects and other marketing activities in Italy, Germany and outside Europe to open up new markets for companies in the Italian and German food technology. “The close cooperation between Parma and Koelnmesse offers participating companies the security to go the right way into new markets with relevant internationally experienced partners. Anuga FoodTec and CibusTEC are forming together the global competence in the field of food technology,“ explains Antonio Cellie, CEO of Messe Parma.

Koelnmesse is an international leader in the implementation of food exhibitions and events for the processing of food and drink. Trade shows such as Anuga, the ISM and the Anuga FoodTec are established as world's leading trade fairs. Currently, Koelnmesse exhibition realized 15 projects in this area - in Cologne as well as in Brazil, China, India, Japan, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

The Fiere di Parma, located in the heart of the “Food Valley”, the centre of the Italian food industry, is the host of Cibus and CibusTEC and since 1939 the leading exhibition organizer in the area of food production and the corresponding supply industries.
