Tomato processing factory to be built in Nigeria

Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote, plans to install a tomato processing factory in Africa, this comes as good news to the country’s tomato producers. The Dangote Tomato Processing Factory will produce 1,200 tons of tomatoes per day and offers a good opportunity to farmers. Nigeria, like many countries in Africa, has food shortage problems. African vegetable producers not only face preservation problems, but also food crises.

The announcement to install a processing factory is good news for the African producers who are faced with strong competition from Europe and China. Imported canned tomatoes of dubious quality are discharged onto the African market. Tomato processing related problems will be over thanks to the Dangote Tomato Processing Factory.
