Rijk Zwaan leafy crops attract attention in Spain

From February 9 to 13, Rijk Zwaan held their annual International Winter Open Field Days in Spain. At the R&D location in Murcia, the breeding company presented 10 different crops, over 300 varieties and various innovative cultivation systems to a wide international audience.

Among the most popular products presented in Spain were Salanova Duopack and Salanova 'Lechugas Vivas' (lettuce with root ball): a concept that perfectly caters to the trend of freshness, health and convenience. Other highlights in Murcia were the Crunchy Cos concept – a cos lettuce with the crunchy bite of iceberg lettuce – and a new series of spinach varieties that are resistant against the latest mildew physios.
