Tunisian date, citrus and artichoke exports

According to figures published by the Minister of Agriculture, date exports over the first 10 days of January 2015 saw a 20% increase in value compared to the same period last year. Date export volume reached 24,861 tons compared to 24,330 last year.

Citrus exports began on the 12th January 2015. Exported volume up until the 15th is estimated at about 3,079 tons of which 2,550 tons are of the Maltese variety.

The same statistics show that almost 1,222 tons of artichokes were exported from the estimated 19,000 tons of national production in 2015.
